It can be tough spotting a phisher's bait

Some phony emails that aim to get your personal data, such as a recent notice that claimed to be from AT&T, can look nearly identical to the real thing. A bit of checking before clicking can pay off.

A week seldom goes by without someone forwarding me an email of dubious authenticity, typically appearing to be from some business urging you to log in to your account or perform some other transaction.
